👶 👣 Every NICU journey looks different — and that' 👶 👣 Every NICU journey looks different — and that's exactly why we spend September bringing awareness to the NICU experience: because so much of it is misunderstood.I want to introduce you to a family from our community who generously gave me permission to share their story.Their son was born full-term at 39 weeks, 4 days. No traumatic delivery, no red flags during pregnancy — and yet he still spent his first few days in the NICU with Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN), a temporary breathing condition where a baby's lungs take a little longer than expected to clear fluid after birth. Here's what his mom told me: "I wish I had known that full-term babies could be put in the NICU even if there wasn't a traumatic birth... No one expects their baby to spend time in the NICU, but I definitely didn't, considering he was born full term. It was a bit of a shock."If you're in the middle of your own NICU journey right now, at any level, for any reason — you are not alone. There is a whole community of families who understand what you're carrying, and we are so glad you're here.If you want to learn more about NICU Levels head over to my Blog and as always, I am cheering for you and your sweet family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.💙 September is NICU Awareness month 💙 #NICUAwarenessMonth #NICUMom #NICUDad #NICUparentcoach #nicustrong
